How Will SL Look in 5 Years?

By Pixeleen Mistral, National Affairs Desk

Pompo Bombacci pointed out this You Tube video of what appears to be a preview of a new Second Life client. Studying the video carefully, it is clear this is what we can expect the Second Life experience to be in the future.

Yes, the future looks bright - expect photo-realistic avatars and builds - with only a few minor issues. Still, it looks like the Lab will have whipped those nagging asset server problems by then. At least everyone's prim hair stayed rezed.

Fail.

Gigglesnorts!!! Theat are just how i move in RL after a 40 hours weekend hardcore in SL lol! :-)

This is leading edge stuff. You thought the sky in First Look was good? pfft!

i loved how the essence of the sl experience was captured in an in depth and knowing sense. obviously the creators of this film have an intimate knowledge of the way sl currently works.
bravo!

the last scene is just filler tho.

Hilarious!

coco

that is some seriously funny shit.

I just laughed so hard I snorted soda. THANK YOU PIX!

NICE shadows :-)

Did everybody notice the slogan on the wall in the office where the group of people were standing?

"CREATE OR DIE"

I suspect the video depicts French speaking Canadian terrorists.

I assume that LL sues them for violating the copyright of SL's unique look and feel.

The thought about SL in 5 years made me feel ill. SL is really dull but I have to log in to learn the rest.

Maybe ASC+EU China division has bought LL in 5 years. Shit happens :-)

Looks like there is no lag. How am I suppose to get the true Second Life experience without finding my avatar walking into the ground for the next twenty meters or so?

Not funny at all.

Genius!

They forgot the pedophiles and fat men in female fursuits

That's cute. Better then what the headline made me expect to see, which was this:

404 - File Not Found

Nice "news" again... of a 3 month old youtube video.

i dont think sl will still exist in 5 years.

btw, they still got clipping problems in 5 years?
lol

The yare are 2012...80 Mill "members" signed up in SL...700.000 are online in the 8 girds and at 100.000 Islands...you can se you can here you can feel you can smell.
you got RL voice RL cam options. You got millions of animations , you can move fingers toes and lips moves just like your words, with your hands you can dress off and on, you can put on makeup and even shave.... and a lot more. :-)
If you dont belive this,, mark my words,,it wil be here.

Pffffftt... nooobie build.. those textures sucked! :p

On point!

"They forgot the pedophiles and fat men in female fursuits"

and the pimple covered 12 year old anime fan wigga's with afro wigs... and their 50 year old trailertrash 7chan friends.. oh no you mentioned those already; the pedo's

That video has been going around for quite a few weeks. Shame you were the last one to see it Pix.
