Wedding: Marilyn Murphy and Fleenie Jensen

by Matthias Zander

The Herald would like to congratulate Marilyn Murphy and Fleenie Jensen on their SecondLife marriage. The ceremony was this past Friday, May 7 at 7 PM game time in the Stardust sim. According to the Herald's sources, over 200 invitations were sent out, but only 60 were able to come to the wedding at any one point.

The gorgeous (and extremely high-budget, one would presume) ceremony was performed by Baccara Rhodes and the Spellbound team, and featured memorable moments such as Marilyn arriving in an airborne coach along with Chip Midnight, who then accompanied her down the aisle. The short 30 minute ceremony was followed by a dance just a short walk from the area where the wedding was held that lasted around two hours.

Each invitation that was sent out included an exclusive tuxeudo designed by the talented Fey Brightwillow that matched the custom dresses made for the wedding party (a maid of honor and three bridesmaids on either side). Also included in the invitation was a note asking guests to not wear primmy attachments or teleport in anyone who was not explicitly invited to the wedding themselves.

This wedding was called the SecondLife wedding of the year, and I would believe it! Everything was absolutely gorgeous and was very well-planned. The brides (and Spellbound) did a wonderful job planning an evening that I know I will remember for a long time, as I'm sure everyone who was there will.

As one of the Bridesmaids I can agree completely with the idea that this was indeed "THE Wedding of the Year". It truly was the most fabulous wedding I have ever had the priviledge of attending in a virtual enviroment and everyone involved in the planning should be immencely proud. My warmest wish for blissful happiness for both of the beautiful Brides :))
